The NF 53 was inspired by a 1953 vintage guitar that is a favorite of PRS president Paul Reed Smith.
Its look is based on the traditional single-cutaway guitar, the origin of solid-body guitars, but it is packed with unique ideas throughout.
The body is crafted from swamp ash with a undulating grain.
The body is contoured, resulting in a classic design with a modern shape that fits the body perfectly.
Both the neck and fingerboard are maple.
The neck grip is finished with a satin finish, which is rare for PRS.
