Fender is, needless to say, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It is beloved by countless top artists, including Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and Ritchie Blackmore (titles omitted).
The Stratocaster, released by Fender in 1954, debuted as a derivative model of the Telecaster, the original solid-body guitar.
Thanks to its innovative design and high versatility, it has been cherished by countless artists and has enriched the music scene across various genres from its debut to the present day.
It can truly be called the quintessential electric guitar.
This instrument features characteristics unique to that era, such as a large headstock, a bullet-style truss rod nut, F-key tuners, and a three-point neck joint.
The body is made of classic ash, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The body has been refinished in black, and combined with the black pickguard, it boasts a cool look.
The pickups have been replaced with single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, and a DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion in the bridge position.
The sound is both brilliant and fat.
Its appeal lies in an exceptionally thick tone—a bit different from the bright sound one might expect from an ash body and maple neck.
The bridge position delivers a very powerful sound that pairs well with high-gain settings.
This is a 70s Fender that has become increasingly rare in recent years.
Why not take advantage of this opportunity?
Approximately 60% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is slightly loose, but it has been confirmed to move through about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition; however, since the fingerboard radius is 7.25, the action ranges from 2.2 mm on the 6th string side to 1.7 mm on the 1st string side, allowing for comfortable playing.
The body and finish show general signs of wear, including dents, scuffs, linear scratches, and faded paint. Metal parts show tarnish and rust. The sides of the fingerboard have peeling paint, cracks, and touch-up marks. The back of the body has sticker marks and peeling paint.
The electronics are in good condition.
The bridge pickup, control knobs, and all pots have been replaced. The bridge pickup cavity has been modified, and the pickguard has been replaced.
The body has been refinished.
