Fender is, of course, the number one brand for electric guitars and basses.
It is loved by countless top artists, including Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, and Futoshi Abe (titles omitted).

The TL52 is a Telecaster from the Fender Japan brand, which, despite being highly regarded, was discontinued (and integrated into the Fender brand).

As the model name suggests, it is modeled after a 1952 Telecaster.

The stamp on the neck joint has faded, so I was unable to determine the exact model name.

Based on the year of manufacture and specifications, it is likely a TL52-80TX.

The body is made of ash.

While Fender Japan often uses basswood, it’s a nice touch that this model uses the same wood as a traditional Telecaster.

The neck and fingerboard are made of maple.

Although I couldn’t determine the exact model number, it features cross-wired pickups, giving it a high-end feel rather than that of a cheap instrument.

It’s characterized by a sound that combines brilliance with richness.

When the neck pickup is selected, it produces a rich, mellow tone, while the bridge pickup delivers a crisp and powerful sound.

The pots have been replaced with CTS, the capacitors with Orange Drop, and the selector switch with a CRL, giving it specifications closer to those of higher-end models.

A true gem from Fender Japan that remains popular even today.

The truss rod is on the stiff side, but it has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show general signs of wear, including scratches, dents, and tarnish on the metal parts.
There are numerous dents and chips in the finish on the sides of the body, and linear scratches are scattered near the body-back joint plate.
There is paint peeling at the bottom edge of the fingerboard, and numerous dents on the back of the neck.
There is paint peeling near the logo on the headstock top.
The electronics are in good condition.
The selector switch, two pots, and the jack have been replaced.
