Gibson is, so to speak, the king of the guitar world, having produced countless legendary instruments.

It is loved by countless artists, including Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, and Shinichi Ikata (titles omitted).

The ES-335 was introduced by Gibson in 1958.

It features a distinctive double-cutaway hollow body.

Inside the body, the central section—where the pickups and bridge are mounted—is solid wood, known as the center block. The sides are hollow and feature F-holes, similar to a violin.

Because of this structure, which lies between that of a solid-body guitar and an acoustic guitar, it is classified as a semi-acoustic guitar.

The appeal of semi-acoustic guitars is that they are more resistant to feedback than fully acoustic guitars and can be used in rock music without any issues.

In fact, many artists use them in rock bands.

This model is an ES-335 manufactured in 1991, featuring dot inlays.

It is arguably the quintessential semi-acoustic guitar.

The body features laminated maple, poplar, and maple for the top, sides, and back, respectively.

This construction enhances durability against body cracks while still allowing for controlled resonance.

The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood—a traditional Gibson combination.

The design, featuring an F-hole, combined with the cherry finish, gives it a vintage-style look.

It is equipped with Gibson 57 Classic pickups at the neck and bridge.

These are long-standing Gibson bestsellers, beloved for years as replicas of the humbucking pickups developed by Seth Lover—commonly known as PAFs.

The sound is rich and mellow, yet retains a tight, defined quality.

Thanks to its semi-hollow construction and relatively thin body, it offers good resistance to feedback, so you can play with distortion without any issues.

This is a legendary instrument loved by countless artists and used across a wide range of musical genres.
