Guitarix was a legendary private brand crafted by Yasuhiko Iwamori, a figure deeply involved in the musical instrument industry.
Mr. Iwamori worked at the Fender Custom Shop in the 1980s as a master builder, gaining experience in guitar construction. He is known as a builder with a profound understanding of vintage Fender's structure and sound.
Before becoming a master builder, he crafted Guitarix as his personal brand. Its high level of craftsmanship reportedly earned it high praise at North American guitar shows.
He continued pursuing the essence of guitar structure and tone through vintage guitar research, restoration, and writing specialized books.
He also served as the first president of Gibson Japan in later years, making him a figure deeply involved in the guitar industry from both the manufacturing and research/business perspectives.
This model is based on the Fender Stratocaster.
The body features the classic Ash wood.
The two-tone sunburst finish highlights the flowing Ash grain, paired with a white pickguard and round string guides, evoking the look of the first-year Stratocaster.
The neck is one-piece Maple.
It features three single-coil pickups.
The tone is characterized by a bright, fat sound with a solid core.
