HEX Guitars is a South Korea-based brand that specializes in products ranging from entry-level to mid-range price points.

They own their own factory in Indonesia and handle manufacturing in-house. This sets them apart from brands that typically rely on OEM manufacturing.

Because they don’t outsource production to other factories—and the boss himself gets involved on the production floor—they’re able to produce guitars of a quality far beyond what one would expect given their price point.

This is their newly launched headless-style series.

The N600 is a high-end model featuring premium specifications, including a custom tremolo bridge, FISHMAN pickups, and a Roasted Maple x Walnut laminated neck.

The refined body shape is crafted from mahogany.
Two rubber feet are attached to the body end, allowing the guitar to stand stably even without a guitar stand.

The neck features a 5-piece laminate design combining Roasted Maple and Walnut.

Roasted wood, also known as Thermo wood, is a new material popularized in Japan by Sago New Material Guitars.
Originally developed using Finnish technology, it was created as a material for building saunas.

It is characterized by the evaporation of moisture and oils from within the wood through high-temperature treatment, resulting in high stability even in hot and humid conditions.
In terms of sound, it gives the impression of a more refined and rich tone.

By laminating several types of wood to form the neck, asymmetry is minimized, resulting in high stability and durability.

The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood and finished with a 12–16-inch compound radius.
A compound radius features a rounded fingerboard shape in the lower positions and a flatter shape in the higher positions.

Generally, while a round fingerboard radius offers good playability, it is prone to muffled tones in the higher positions.
The compound radius solves this problem.

This technology is used by high-end brands such as Suhr Guitars and Tom Anderson.

The frets are made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is characterized by its lack of tarnish and high hardness.

Stainless steel frets retain their luster indefinitely and are extremely resistant to wear, making them popular among high-end guitar brands in recent years.

The neck shape is slim and features a neutral C-shape.

It is equipped with two FISHMAN Fluence Modern Humbuckers.
These pickups are very expensive items, selling for over 40,000 yen each on their own.

They feature a unique coil-less design that eliminates the possibility of coil-related noise or electrical issues entirely.

As a result, they produce unbelievably low noise, and you should find them to be on par with—or even superior to—EMG pickups.

In terms of sound, they are characterized by astonishingly fast response, moderate compression, and a rich low end.

From the low frets to the high frets, the tone is full-bodied and features a fresh, vibrant harmonic richness that, in a sense, defies the typical character of active pickups.

Additionally, this pickup features a function called VOICE 1 and 2 that allows you to switch between different tonal characters.

Pulling up the volume knob to activate VOICE 2 changes the neck pickup to a clearer, treblier sound, while the bridge pickup takes on a slightly warmer tone with a fuller midrange.

Furthermore, pulling up the tone knob enables coil tapping, allowing you to create sounds reminiscent of a Stratocaster or Telecaster.

It’s perfect for guitarists who want lower noise than EMGs but still seek the responsive feel of a passive pickup and require flexible tone shaping.

The balance in the hand is excellent, and even players accustomed to Fender or Gibson guitars are unlikely to find the HEX N difficult to play.

No special headless-specific strings are required; you can use the same strings as on standard guitars (such as Stratocasters or Les Pauls).

It delivers a clean, crisp sound typical of a headless guitar, yet it doesn’t sacrifice musical harmonics or rich bass response.

Thanks to the exceptionally high-quality neck construction, playability is excellent; it would be difficult to say it falls short even when compared to instruments priced around 200,000 yen.

Overall, this is a fantastic product that excels in looks, playability, and sound.

It’s not only ideal for those who want to try a headless guitar for the first time but also makes an excellent choice as a first guitar.

All HEX Guitars products sold by GIB are inspected, repaired, and adjusted by GIB after importation into Japan before being put on sale.

We guarantee uncompromising quality, so please give it a try.
