PRS is a new-era standard guitar brand alongside Fender and Gibson.

Their beautifully crafted guitars are renowned for being favored by top musicians worldwide, including Carlos Santana, John Mayer, Orianthi Panagaris, DAITA, and PABLO.

This model belongs to the S2 series, introduced in 2013 and positioned as a mid-range offering within the PRS lineup.

It uses the same woods as Core and bolt-on models and is produced in the USA.

Compared to the Core, it features a top with a more subdued grain pattern and employs a scarf joint neck. This allows it to maintain the high quality expected of an American-made guitar while successfully keeping costs down.

This model is the McCarty 594, which takes the McCarty—born from a collaboration with Ted McCarty, the developer of the Gibson Les Paul—and brings it even closer to a vintage guitar.

The McCarty 594 features a 24.594-inch scale length, matching the actual scale length of 1950s Les Pauls. It's a hugely popular PRS model that pays homage to the Les Paul in its controls and hardware.

The body is crafted from mahogany.

The body top features an asymmetrical beveled top.

This gives it a distinct look, different from the classic violin curve.

Compared to the standard McCarty 594, it features a slightly thinner body, resulting in a more maneuverable design.

The neck is Mahogany, the fingerboard Rosewood – a traditional combination.

While part of the McCarty series, the neck shape uses the Pattern Thin profile, similar to the Custom models, making it suitable for technical playing.

It's equipped with 58/15 LT “S” pickups.

Developed based on the 58/15, which aimed for the late-50s humbucker sound, it delivers a clear and warm tone.

The pickups are coil-tap capable, allowing them to function as single coils.

This offers a wide variety of sound options.

The controls and hardware also follow a vintage style, completing the traditional look.

This masterpiece combines the straight-forward sound characteristic of an all-mahogany body, reminiscent of a Gibson SG or Les Paul Special, with the smooth playability unique to PRS.
