This model is the signature model of Tak Matsumoto (B'z), a world-renowned Japanese rock guitarist.
Introducing the "Tak Matsumoto Les Paul Standard Canary Yellow" in 1999 as Gibson's first Japanese artist model, this 2018 reissue commemorates the 30th anniversary of B'z's formation.
This limited edition model is limited to 150 pieces worldwide.
With a Canary Yellow finish reminiscent of the Ferrari yellow color inherited from the original, black binding, and abalone inlays on the fingerboard, it exudes a one-of-a-kind look.
Made by the Gibson Custom Shop in 2018, it features the latest features of the time, including a spec tubeless truss rod, Custom Bucker pickups, and hide-glued wood.
The body back is made of mahogany and the top is maple.
At Matsumoto's request, the mahogany back is chambered, achieving both lightweight weight and rich resonance.
The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The neck shape accurately replicates the profile of a digitally scanned 1959 Les Paul owned by Matsumoto himself.
The pickups are Gibson Custom Buckers.
With its rich midrange and Les Paul-esque thick sustain, yet extending to a brilliant top end, this guitar truly embodies the "Tak Matsumoto sound."
This historic model, which made its mark in 1999 alongside global guitar heroes such as Jimmy Page, Slash, and Ace Frehley as the fifth Gibson signature model (sixth if Les Paul is included), makes this an extremely rare collector's item.

The truss rod and neck are in good condition.
The body and finish show traces of melted paint on the top and sides of the headstock.
The metal parts, including the tuning machines, tune-o-matic, escutcheon screws, pickup screws, and jack plate screws, show tarnish and rust, and green rust can be seen on the selector ring.
The headstock has scattered scratches and small dents, and the body top has a faint scratch and a crack in the center between the pickups.
There are also numerous scratches on the back of the body.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The jack has been replaced.
