James Tyler is an American brand founded by the late James Lee Tyler that crafts guitars of the highest quality.
Hailed as the pinnacle of modern Stratocasters, it is renowned for being favored by artists worldwide, including Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Yuji Toriyama.
This model belongs to the JTG series, featuring high-performance guitars designed in America and manufactured in Asia with cost-performance in mind.
As an MK1, it is based on the Studio Elite, a flagship model of James Tyler.
This instrument is a so-called Show Model, exhibited at Music China in 2025.
The body features a two-piece Alder construction.
The Fly Yellow body color creates a striking contrast with the Black Pearloid pickguard and black hardware, resulting in a vibrant appearance.
The neck is Canadian Hard Maple, and the fingerboard is Indian Rosewood.
The neck profile is Standard 59, with medium jumbo frets. The fingerboard sides feature scalloped edges, delivering exceptionally smooth playability.
The fingerboard employs a tapered shape, where the fingerboard radius flattens from the low to high frets.
This allows for lower string action without overall muffled tones, delivering comfortable playability and excellent sound.
The Neck and Middle positions feature JTG 5500 Single pickups.
