Kz Guitar Works is a brand based in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, that manufactures high-quality guitars.
It is also known worldwide for producing the Brian May model guitar for Queen.
While the Red Special is highly acclaimed, the company’s original models are also highly regarded for their excellent playability and high-quality sound, and are currently favored by renowned guitarists, including Kazumi Watanabe.
This model is the flagship Kz One Standard Semi-Hollow.
Based on the philosophy of the Red Special—Kz Guitar Works’ specialty—this ambitious instrument fuses modern playability with a wide range of tonal variations.
The body back is made of Honduran mahogany, and the top is maple.
Thanks to its semi-hollow construction, it produces a distinctive sound that lies somewhere between a solid-body and an acoustic guitar, combining just the right amount of resonance with a tight, focused tone.
The neck is made of Honduran mahogany, and the fingerboard is crafted from rare Madagascar rosewood.
The frets feature a high-precision finish, ensuring clear projection all the way up to the higher frets.
You can really feel the meticulous craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made instruments.
It is equipped with KGW Original Single Coil pickups.
The KGW is a single-coil pickup inspired by 1960s UK-style designs; while incorporating a vintage-like British tone, it also features many modern elements, such as high sound pressure and low noise levels.
Three toggle switches allow you to individually turn each pickup on and off.
This enables a wide variety of sound options, from having all pickups on to a Telecaster-style Neck + Bridge combination.
The bridge features a Kahler tremolo bridge.
It is characterized by smooth tremolo arm action and stable tuning accuracy.
Another welcome feature is the ability to make fine adjustments to string spacing and arm torque.
This innovative instrument is the result of a brand with the deepest knowledge of legendary guitars, which has generously poured its experience and expertise into its creation.
Why not take advantage of this opportunity?
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
