This model is a YW-800 manufactured in 1978.

The body top is constructed of solid spruce, with the sides and back made of Jacaranda plywood, a luxurious finish unimaginable today.

Various details, including abalone body binding, fingerboard inlays, and a vertical logo on the headstock, give it a luxurious look.

The neck is made of mahogany and the fingerboard is made of ebony, a classic combination.

Currently strung with 12-52 gauge strings, the action is 3.3mm for the 6th string and 2.5mm for the 1st string.
The body and finish show signs of wear commensurate with its age. There are two large dents measuring approximately 14mm and 10mm on the top of the body, as well as numerous other small dents. The binding is burnt, and the neck has numerous dents and a glossy finish.
The 1st string tuning machine post is damaged, preventing the tuning machine bush from tightening, but the strings can still be strung.
