PRS is a new-generation standard guitar brand, rivaling Fender and Gibson.

The beautiful guitars they produce are renowned as favorites of top musicians around the world, including Carlos Santana, John Mayer, Orianthi Panagaris, DAITA, and PABLO.

This model is from the S2 series, a mid-tier model introduced in 2013.

It is made in the USA using the same woods as the Core and bolt-on models.

By adopting a top with a more subtle grain than the Core and adopting a scarf-joint neck, we have succeeded in keeping costs down while maintaining the high quality you expect from an American-made guitar.

In addition, in 2024, the S2 series will come standard with American-made pickups and electronics, just like the Core, bringing the specs closer to those of the Core series.

Although it is positioned as a mid-tier model within PRS, it is a high-quality model with sound and playability comparable to that of higher-end models.

This model, the McCarty 594, was created in collaboration with Ted McCarty, the developer of the Gibson Les Paul, and brings it even closer to a vintage guitar.

The McCarty 594 features a 24.594-inch scale, the same actual size as the '50s Les Paul, and is a hugely popular PRS model whose respect for the Les Paul is evident in its controls and hardware.

This is a single-cut model with a traditional look.

Compared to the double-cutaway model, it has a more pronounced bass range, producing a sound closer to the original Les Paul.

The body back is mahogany and the top is maple.

The body top has an asymmetrical beveled top.

It has an appealing look that is a little different from the standard violin carve.

The finish is a traditional lacquer.

It is finished to an extremely thin thickness that meets PRS's strict specifications.

The neck is crafted from mahogany and the fingerboard is made from rosewood, a traditional combination.

The neck shape is also distinctive, featuring the "Pattern Vintage" neck shape, a meticulous reproduction of the neck shape of a 1953 Les Paul.

This is the thickest PRS neck shape, but it is asymmetrical between the 6th and 1st string sides, combining a vintage feel with excellent playability.

The guitar is equipped with two 58/15 LT pickups.

These pickups are designed to recreate the humbucking sound of the late '50s, producing a clear, warm sound.

The pickups are coil-tappable and can also be operated as single coils.

The diverse range of tones is fascinating.

The tuning machines are vintage-style, and the tuning pegs feature the latest wing buttons.

This has successfully reduced the headstock weight and improved sustain compared to previous models.

Combining high playability and vintage sound, this guitar is truly the pinnacle of PRS craftsmanship.

This is a masterpiece with top-class quality in this price range, boasting specifications that closely rival PRS's top-of-the-line models.
