Based on Yamaha's signature SG model, this guitar boasts a unique design, including an original tremolo unit, active tone circuitry, and decorative top.
The back of the body is mahogany and the top is maple.
The "TAKANAKA" alphabet and palm tree decoration on the top make it instantly recognizable as his signature model.
The neck is a three-piece maple and mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and a neck-through joint.
The pickups are Yamaha's original SGH-3CC humbucker (#QC44380) and original LIVE-GS6 single-coil pickups in an HSH configuration.
The perfectly positioned 5-way selector and active tone circuit deliver a wide range of tones you'd never expect from a single guitar.
