Gibson is the king of the guitar world, having produced countless classic instruments.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including John Lennon, Bob Dylan, and Masayoshi Yamazaki.

This model is an L-48 manufactured in the 1950s.

The L-48 from this period underwent many changes, making it difficult to determine the exact wood used for the top, sides, and back.
Judging by the wood grain, it appears to have a mahogany top, mahogany sides, and a maple back.

The neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of rare Jacaranda.

The entire body and neck are weather-checked, giving it the refined look you expect from a true vintage instrument.

A distinctive feature of L-48s from around 1950 is the tapered headstock, which tapers from the nut to the tip of the headstock.

The sound is crisp and dry, making it perfect for playing blues and other styles.

This is a historic piece, so please consider purchasing it!

Approximately 50% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is a little stiff, but has been confirmed to operate at about 90°.
The neck is twisted and has a high-rise, but it plays without issue with the 6th string at 2.7mm and the 1st string at 2.2mm.
The body and finish show signs of age-appropriate wear, including scratches, dents, peeling paint, weathering, corrosion on metal parts, cracked binding, and fading. The 4th-string tuning machine is bent.
The bridge and pickguard holder may have been replaced.

The factory order number inside the body is 5628 26.
There was no initial letter.
