Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano.
It is a subsidiary of Divider, which owns the large Asuka Factory, a guitar factory. The high quality that comes from the factory's own production is highly regarded by many musicians.
This model is the BARON, a new addition to the Global Series, which is manufactured in-house with a focus on high quality.
It has a Telecaster-like body shape but is finished with a beautiful arched top.
The controls and structure give the impression of a skillful mix of Fender and Gibson style features.
First of all, we would like to point out the body, which is finished with an arched top and a flame maple top, like a Les Paul.
We believe that the smooth and beautiful arched top will be well received by Gibson enthusiasts.
The body back is made of nato wood.
Nato wood is similar to mahogany in appearance and specific gravity, and is a wood that has been gaining attention in recent years.
The medium scale neck is made of nato wood, just like the body back, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
Decorated with dish inlays and neck binding, it exudes a luxurious look overall.
The wood construction seems more influenced by Gibson than Fender.
The pickups are two original humbuckers.
While providing the powerful sound you expect from a humbucker, the bolt-on joint construction also provides a tight sound.
The controls include two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way toggle switch.
By adopting a layout similar to Gibson models, a wide range of sounds is at your fingertips.
While the guitar is manufactured overseas, each guitar is inspected individually by a specialized department in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, after arriving in Japan, and parts that directly affect playability are particularly carefully adjusted.
In addition to the above, this guitar has been further upgraded.
First, the tuning machines have been replaced with Gotoh locking types.
This improves tuning stability and makes string changes easier.
Furthermore, the potentiometers have been replaced with switch pots, allowing for coil tapping.
This allows the humbucker to behave like a single coil, resulting in a wide variety of tones.
This is a new product from Bacchus that has a solid concept and is neatly put together.
Why not take advantage of this opportunity?
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly high-raised, but this is not a problem as long as the action is not lowered too much.
The body and paint show scratches on the back and sides of the body and on the headstock. There are scratches and dullness on the metal parts. There are dents in the anchor studs and the holes for adjusting the action.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The tuning machines and pots have been replaced.
