HEX Guitars is a brand based in South Korea that specializes in products spanning the entry-level to mid-range price points.

They own their own factory in Indonesia and handle manufacturing themselves. This sets them apart from brands that typically rely on OEM production.

Because they don't outsource to other factories and the boss himself gets involved on the factory floor, they produce guitars of unexpectedly high quality for their price point.

The NS100 is an advanced model developed as a headless guitar inspired by the ST series.

The body is made of Indonesian Mahogany, while the neck and fingerboard utilize Hard Maple.

The scale length is 25.5 inches, matching that of Fender's Stratocaster and Telecaster.

It features jumbo-sized stainless steel frets and a 22-fret specification, offering a wide playing range.

The fingerboard radius is a compound radius specification of 12-15.75 inches.

This design, with a rounded low-position radius and a flatter high-position radius, effectively balances high playability with a clear, uncluttered sound. It is a specification adopted by high-end brands like Suhr and Tom Anderson.

Stainless steel frets and a compound radius work exceptionally well together, resulting in incredibly smooth bending with no buzz.

The neck center pickup uses an Alnico magnet single-coil type, while the bridge pickup employs a ceramic magnet humbucker type. This setup accommodates a wide range of tones, from clean to high-gain distortion sounds.

The balance when held is excellent. Even players accustomed to Fender guitars will likely find the HEX comfortable to play.

Its clean, headless-style sound is highly appealing, yet it doesn't sacrifice musical harmonics or rich low end.

The fundamental quality around the neck is exceptionally high, resulting in outstanding playability. It's difficult to definitively say it falls short compared to instruments priced around ¥200,000.
