HEX Guitars is a South Korea-based brand specializing in entry-level to mid-range guitars.

They own their own factory in Indonesia and manufacture their guitars themselves. This sets them apart from brands that typically use OEM manufacturing.

Their passion is so strong that the boss himself is involved in the production process, rather than outsourcing it to other factories. This dedication results in guitars of a quality far exceeding what one might expect from their price point.

This is a 7-string headless model from their Z series, featuring more advanced specifications.

This guitar boasts modern specifications, including a 25.5-26.5" multi-scale body, custom active humbuckers, and a roasted maple neck.

The refined body shape is crafted from Indonesian mahogany.
Two rubber feet are attached to the body end, allowing for stable placement without a guitar stand.

The neck is made of roasted maple.

Roasted wood, also known as thermowood, is a new material popularized by Sago New Material Guitars in Japan.

Originally developed in Finland as wood for sauna construction, it features high-temperature processing that evaporates moisture and oils from within the wood, resulting in high stability even in hot and humid conditions.

Sound-wise, it produces a more refined and rich tone.

The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood with a 12" radius.

The frets are made of stainless steel.

Stainless steel is characterized by its tarnish-free finish and high hardness.

Stainless steel frets retain their shine indefinitely and are extremely resistant to wear, making them popular in high-end guitar brands in recent years.

The neck shape is slim and a comfortable C-shape.

The bridge is a hardtail.

The pickups are original Custom Active Ceramic Rail Humbuckers.

They use original pickups in many of their models.

This isn't for cost-cutting, but because they have confidence in the quality of their self-designed pickups.

Their staff, who understand music and play it regularly, thoroughly research and design many elements such as magnets, wires, and bobbins.

Because these are active pickups, they are extremely low-noise, clear, and provide high gain. (Gain level is adjustable from the back panel.)

It's also worth noting that they produce a sound that is never too cold, but rather contains plenty of musical harmonics.

Controls include a pickup selector, volume, and tone (coil tap on/off with a push-pull switch).

The balance in your hand is excellent, and even those who usually play Fender or Gibson guitars will likely find this one easy to play.

No special headless strings are needed; standard guitar strings (like those for a Stratocaster or Les Paul) can be used.

It produces a clean, crisp sound characteristic of headless guitars, yet it doesn't lose musical harmonics or rich bass tones.

The high quality of the neck construction results in excellent playability; it's difficult to say it's inferior to instruments in the 200,000 yen price range.

Overall, it's a superb product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.

It's a great choice for those who want to try a headless guitar, and it's also a good choice for a first guitar.

This product has undergone precise fret leveling using PLEK.

All frets are perfectly level, theoretically resulting in a stable tone without buzz.

As this is a show model, there are some minor scratches.
