This model is the Martin D-45, which reigns as the pinnacle of acoustic guitars.

Production began in 1933 but was temporarily halted in 1942 due to the war; it resumed in 1968 and continues to this day.

Crafted from the highest-grade woods, it boasts the distinctive, elegant look unique to the Style 45—including the vertical logo that signifies a top-tier model, decorative accents on the body and headstock, and gorgeous hexagon inlays.

This is a D-45 crafted by the Martin Custom Shop.

It was crafted as a special custom order, inspired by the D-45 that Neil Young has cherished for many years.

The D-45 that Neil Young cherishes is known to be one of the first instruments produced during the early reissue period in the late 1960s and was used on albums such as *Harvest*.

This model is a custom-order instrument that incorporates the atmosphere of those early reissue D-45s while combining specifications unique to the Martin Custom Shop.

For its construction, the wood was hand-selected at the Martin headquarters factory in Nazareth, USA. It was then finished as a single guitar at the Custom Shop.

A major feature of this model is that, while it possesses the luxurious qualities unique to the D-45, it has been finished with a subdued look that differs from the standard current-production D-45.

In particular, the mother-of-pearl purfling gives it a more understated and elegant impression than the standard D-45.

The headstock features the rounded corners characteristic of late 1960s reissue D-45s, and the body end is fitted with a box-type end graft; design elements reminiscent of the D-45s of that era are incorporated throughout.

While it boasts the glamorous styling of the Style 45, the details in each part exude a subdued atmosphere reminiscent of the vintage D-45, resulting in a finish with a unique character that sets it apart from current models.

The body top is crafted from premium-grade spruce.

It displays beautiful natural grain patterns, and the use of carefully selected wood results in a striking finish unique to the Custom Shop.

The body sides and back are made of rosewood, the neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard is ebony.

It delivers clear highs and powerful, rich lows, offering the overwhelming volume and impact unique to the Dreadnought size.

With its wide dynamic range and rich harmonics, it produces a grand, expansive sound when strumming chords and faithfully conveys even the finest nuances with a delicate touch.

Its resonance—the grand, three-dimensional sound unique to the Martin D-45—shines across a wide range of styles, from sing-along to fingerpicking.

Combining a design inspired by Neil Young’s beloved D-45, the meticulously selected woods characteristic of the Martin Custom Shop, and custom specifications that differ from the standard D-45, this is an instrument with a truly distinctive character.

The warranty period is 3 months for used items and 1 year for new items.
