The Jazzmaster was released by Fender in 1958 as a high-end model.
Initially released as a jazz-only instrument, its signature fat sound and cool looks made it popular with many artists and a prominent part of the underground music scene.
Today, it's a popular model used by many Japanese rock artists.
This particular model is a 1972 Jazzmaster.
The body is made of alder.
The body features the classic 3-tone sunburst color, a large headstock, block inlays, and fingerboard binding, giving it a gorgeous look befitting a high-end model.
The neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The neck has a U-shape profile, and it features slightly thicker frets and has been refretted. The nut has also been replaced.
This allows for comfortable playing even with a string height setting of 2.0mm on the 6th string side and 1.5mm on the 1st string side, despite being a vintage model, resulting in high playability.
The pickups are gray bobbin single-coil pickups.
The sound is characterized by the warm and crisp tone typical of a Jazzmaster.
70's Fender guitars are becoming increasingly rare and valuable.
This is a guitar we highly recommend for anyone looking for a vintage Jazzmaster that can be played hard for years to come.
Fret wear is almost non-existent.
The truss rod and neck are in good condition.
The body and paintwork show age-appropriate dents, scratches, linear scratches, and weather checking.
The pickguard is slightly lifted, the neck plate is warped, and all tuning pegs are stiff.
The electronics are in good condition.
Frets and nut have been replaced.
