Fender is, of course, the number one brand for electric guitars and basses.

It is loved by countless top artists, including Thurston Moore, Thom Yorke, and Kenta Kataoka.

The Jazzmaster was released by Fender in 1958 as a high-end model.

Although initially marketed as a guitar exclusively for jazz, the Jazzmaster’s signature fat sound and cool looks have endeared it to many artists, helping to shape the underground music scene.

Today, it has become a popular model used by numerous Japanese rock artists.

This model is a Stratocaster from the Fender MIJ series, which was rebranded after the discontinuation of Fender Japan by completely rethinking the design from scratch.

It’s a “Modern” model that combines a traditional look with contemporary specifications.

The body is made of alder.

Featuring a solid black finish, a design that omits the pickguard, and an archtop construction, it boasts a luxurious design.

The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood—a traditional combination.

Features that enhance playability are very modern, including a unique grip that transitions from a C-shape at the low frets to a D-shape in the higher positions, 22 frets, a compound radius, and medium-jumbo frets.

The body and finish show fine scratches overall, and the metal parts have some tarnish. There are numerous linear scratches on the top of the body near the 1st string and around the controls; a linear scratch on the lower part of the tailpiece; a dent on the 6th string side of the tailpiece; and scattered dents on the lower part of the body back.
