| SAITO GUITARS is a Japanese brand that started in 2014. It has gained popularity for its unique looks and reliable sound, and is used by Adam Rafowitz, JuNN, Toshi Yanagi, and others. (Titles omitted) This model is based on the Jazzmaster, a very simple yet practical guitar. While maintaining a traditional shape, it boasts a modern design that balances playability and aesthetics, featuring an arched top, pickguard-less construction, and heel-less design. The body is made of classic alder. The top is matte black, and the back is natural, showcasing the wood grain in a two-tone finish. It has a sharp look that is characteristic of SAITO, combining stage presence and a sense of luxury. The neck is made of hard maple. The neck has a satin finish, providing a smooth feel and excellent glide when changing positions. The fretboard is made of Indian rosewood and features a 10-12 inch compound radius. A compound radius fretboard is rounder in the lower positions and flatter in the higher positions. Generally, a rounder fretboard radius offers better playability but can easily cause fret buzz in the higher positions. The compound radius solves this problem. The frets are precisely finished, allowing for clear resonance even at the high frets. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident, typical of Japanese-made instruments. The pickups are SAYTONE Sledge a.
