Additionally, wooden spacers called shims are inserted between the body and the neck, allowing the angle of the neck to be adjusted by changing the thickness of the shims.

This allows for lowering the string height without having to file down the bridge saddle.

Beyond this, Taylor’s appeal lies in its incorporation of numerous innovative ideas, such as a UV finish that resists aging, is durable, and allows for a thin coat of lacquer, as well as a proprietary pickup system designed to naturally amplify the guitar’s inherent tone.

This model is the T5Z, Taylor’s unique hybrid guitar that seamlessly switches between acoustic and electric modes.

The body top is made of Tropical Mahogany, the body back and neck of Sapele, and the fingerboard of Ebony.

It features a compact, easy-to-hold design, and the neck is optimized for electric guitar players.

It is equipped with an acoustic body sensor mounted on the top, a concealed neck pickup positioned deep within the soundhole, and a stacked humbucker near the bridge.

The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows slight signs of bowing. It currently measures 1.9mm on the 6th string to 1.9mm on the 1st string and plays without issue.
The body and finish have fine scratches overall, with paint peeling on the cutaway, a dent on the 6th string side of the body, and some discoloration on the tuners. There is a small dent on the back of the neck, around the 5th fret.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
