Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, John McLaughlin, and Tomo Fujita.

The Duo-Sonic is a student model produced by Fender in 1956 for students and children.

Though it's positioned as an affordable student model, it's famously used by legendary guitarists like the late Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter.

It was popular in the punk scene in the late '70s and alternative rock in the '90s, and has colored the underground music scene.

This model is a Duo-Sonic manufactured in 1961.
It has a smaller, thinner body than Fender's signature models, the Stratocaster and Telecaster.

Its lightweight, easy-to-hold, and maneuverability make it an appealing choice.

The neck is maple and the fingerboard is Jacaranda.
The rare Jacaranda wood is slab-laminated, a specification unthinkable today.

The scale is a short 22.5 inches.
This is shorter than the Mustang, which also appeared as a student model in 1964, making it a rare specification unique to this period.

The guitar is equipped with two single-coil pickups with covers.
It is characterized by a crisp, brilliant sound.

The two pickups are connected in series when mixed, producing a deep, rich sound. The wiring is the same as for standard humbucking pickups. Of course, noise is canceled out.

This is a historic piece, so be sure to consider it.

Approximately 50% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works and the neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show numerous scratches and dents.
The metal parts show signs of wear consistent with their age, such as rust and tarnish.
There is a crack in the pickguard.
Please see the photos carefully.
