Hohner is a German musical instrument manufacturer primarily producing accordions and harmonicas.
They also formerly produced guitars and basses.
This model is based on H.S. Anderson's Mad Cat, a favorite of the late Prince.
Despite its Telecaster-shaped body, it features a beautiful flame maple top.
The walnut center and unique pickguard give it a unique and gorgeous look.
In addition to the above, this instrument has undergone numerous upgrades at a repair shop in Osaka.
First, the frets have been refretted and the fingerboard painted.
The neck has been meticulously trimmed, providing a higher level of playability and comfort.
The pickups have also been replaced with Virgo VGS-100s, which are characterized by their low noise and thick sound.
The selector has also been replaced with a 4-way selector.
In addition to the sound variations of a standard Telecaster, this guitar can produce a humbucker-like sound by mixing the neck and bridge pickups in series.
The tuning machines have been replaced with Gotoh, the potentiometers with CTS, and the capacitor with Orange Drop.
This is a truly flawless specification.
The pickguard has also been custom-made.
This guitar has the perfect combination of looks, playability, and sound.
We recommend this guitar to Prince fans and non-fans alike.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works and the neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show signs of use with scratches and dents. There is a slight gap between the binding and the body, and some paint cracking at the neck joint.
