Gibson is the king of the guitar world, having produced countless classic instruments.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jimmy Page, Slash, and Zakk Wylde.
The Explorer, released by Gibson in 1958, is a classic example of a modified guitar with an aggressive, unique design.
Introduced in 1958, its cutting-edge design was not well received and production was discontinued after a short period. However, increased demand led to its re-release around 1976.
This model is an Explorer manufactured in 2017.
The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood.
The unique, cutting-edge body design, combined with the contrast of the black finish and white pickguard, give it a cool look.
In addition to its looks, it also offers practical features such as a slim neck profile for smooth playability and easy access to the upper register.
The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SH-2n and SH-4 pickups.
The neck position produces a clear, crisp tone, while the bridge position produces an edgy sound.
The balance between each position is excellent, making this a truly classic combination.
The bridge is a classic Tune-o-matic stop tailpiece.
This guitar's one-of-a-kind looks are sure to stand out on stage.
Don't miss this opportunity!
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly too high, but with a string height of 2.0mm on the 6th string and 1.5mm on the 1st string, it is playable without any issues.
The body and finish show signs of general wear. There are paint chips on the corners of the body, the back of the neck, and the top of the headstock, paint peeling on the sides of the fingerboard, numerous scratches and dents on the headstock, and sticker marks near the 6th-string tuning machine. The paint on the body and neck is dull overall. There is some tarnish and rust on the metal parts. There is some plating peeling on the bridge's sixth-end side. There is a crack near the pickguard screw hole.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SH-2n and SH-4.
