Epiphone is a guitar brand with a long history.
Loved by many professional artists, Noel Gallagher, Paul McCartney, Thom Yorke, and Yosuke Shimonaka are known to use the brand. (Titles omitted)
This model is a 1963 Olympic.
It was released as an entry-level model at the time.
With its lightweight, thin, and easy-to-handle body, double-cut design, and sunburst color, it appears cute at first glance, but it develops a dignified appearance over time.
The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of rare Jacaranda.
The weather-checked pattern throughout the body adds a touch of elegance.
Jacaranda was a wood used by Fender and Gibson at certain times, and is now known for its rarity, leading to international trade restrictions.
The pickup has been changed from one single pickup to two humbuckers.
The pickups are the classic Seymour Duncan SH-1n and Seymour Duncan TB-6.
This produces an extremely powerful, fat sound.
Although it is a vintage model, it is a performance-ready model that is perfect for playing live.
Don't miss this opportunity!
Approximately 60% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is loose but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck has a slight high rise, but this is not an issue as long as the string height is not lowered too much.
The body and finish have been weather-checked overall.
There are scattered dents behind the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 14th frets on the neck, two holes near the strap pin on the neck side, dents on the fingerboard near the 6th string at the 5th fret and near the 5th string at the 6th fret, chips and dents throughout the headstock, and dents and paint chips throughout the top, sides, and back of the body.
There is a slight crack in the bridge.
Regarding the electrical system, there is some roughness in the volume knob.
A neck pickup has been added, a bridge pickup replaced, a toggle switch added, the pickguard changed, and the nut replaced.
Pots and capacitors replaced.
This guitar may have been refretted.
