HEX Guitars is a Korea-based brand specializing in products in the entry- to mid-range price range.
They have their own factory in Indonesia where they manufacture their products themselves, which sets them apart from typical OEM brands.
They don't leave it to other companies' factories; instead, their boss himself is on-site, which is why they are able to produce guitars of a quality unimaginable for the price.
The W Series is a modern guitar that combines excellent playability and excellent sound.
The W300's beautifully shaped body is made of Indonesian mahogany.
This wood was specially selected for the warm, rich sound that the W Series strives for.
The neck is hard maple and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The fingerboard has a compound radius of 12-16 inches.
The compound radius is rounded in the lower positions and flatter in the higher positions.
Generally, a rounded fingerboard radius provides good playability, but is prone to choking in the higher registers.
The compound radius solves this problem.
This technology is used by high-end brands such as Suhr Guitars and Tom Anderson.
The frets are made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is characterized by its anti-tarnish and high hardness.
Stainless steel frets maintain their shine and are extremely resistant to wear, making them popular with high-end guitar brands in recent years.
The neck shape is a slim, natural C-shape.
The pickups are original humbucking pickups.
They use original pickups in many of their models.
This is not to cut costs, but because they are confident in the quality of the pickups they design.
Their staff, who know music and play music on a daily basis, have thoroughly researched the magnets, wire, bobbins, and many other elements before designing them.
These pickups can be operated as single coils by tapping them with a push-pull switch.
The scale is 25.5 inches, the same as a Stratocaster or Telecaster.
The tuning machines are the original locking type.
This is an outstanding product, designed with weight balance in mind.
The balance in the hand is excellent, and even those who usually play Fenders or Gibsons will find it difficult to play.
The sound is characterized by a silky texture, and the thick character of a humbucking pickup is strongly felt.
On top of that, there is a biting high-frequency bite, and the balance may indeed feel somewhere between a Fender and a Gibson.
The basic quality around the neck is extremely high, making it easy to play, and it would be difficult to say that it is inferior to more expensive guitars.
Overall, this is a fantastic product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.

As an aside, I met them at Sound Messe in Osaka in 2024.
At first, I misheard them as $6,000 and put the deal on hold, thinking, "The quality is high, but the price is high, too."
However, I later realized I had misheard and it was actually $600, so I contacted them immediately. It was only natural, considering that $6,000 seemed reasonable.
A few days later, we met again in Seoul and agreed that GIB and TONIQ would handle HEX distribution in the Japanese market.
Since then, we have had frequent meetings and have finally reached the point where we can begin sales.
Please look forward to it!
