This is a special guitar custom-ordered by TONIQ.
The XSC series is based on the traditional double-cutaway guitar style, but is an ambitious design that incorporates modern elements throughout.
It is handmade in California by artisans using high-grade wood.
The body is made of alder.
It has an extremely thin finish using nitrocellulose lacquer.
The finish is a multi-layer design, with black sprayed over Lake Placid Blue, and the body is given a realistic Heavy Aged finish, resulting in an exquisite look with beautiful color contrasts.
The above color scheme, combined with black pickguard and knobs and white pickup covers, was ordered to resemble a marble-colored model from a certain high-end guitar brand.
The neck is made of 4A-grade roasted maple.
Roasted maple is a wood that is highly stable due to its high-temperature treatment, which evaporates the moisture and oils within the wood.
Originally a building material for Finnish saunas, it is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Not only is it practical, but the beautiful grain of 4A-grade maple is also very appealing.
We specified rosewood for the fingerboard.
The deep black rosewood used is a testament to the carefully selected wood.
The pickups are hand-wound Raw Vintage RV60s in the neck and middle positions.
A hand-wound Raw Vintage RV-PAF is installed in the bridge position, creating an SSH pickup layout that is versatile across all genres.
The neck and middle position produces a brilliant yet rich sound, while the bridge position produces a clear and warm sound.
