This model is a Stratocaster from the Basic Classic series, which has achieved an affordable price through a series of small cost-cutting measures without compromising quality.
The body material has been changed from alder to basswood in the Neo Classic series.
The sound is straightforward and clear, with little quirks.
This also contributes to the light weight, weighing around 3.2-3.4kg, so it's hard to simply call it cost-cutting.
The medium jumbo frets are attached using the familiar CFS (circle fretting system).
CFS frets are set in a fan pattern, at a right angle to the strings, making scale setting more accurate.
The appeal is that the pitch is more accurate. The playing feel remains the same.
The pickups are FGN's original single coil.
