Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Kurt Cobain, Johnny Marr, and Marc Ribot.
The Jaguar, introduced in 1962, was developed as the top model in Fender's lineup at the time.
Named after the British luxury car "Jaguar," this guitar features a short scale, unique preset controls, specially designed single coils, and a floating tremolo, making it a high-end instrument with a different approach from the Jazzmaster.
This model is a Jaguar manufactured in 1964.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is Jacaranda.
The body has been refinished in Candy Apple Red, and the vibrant color scheme is enhanced with weather checking and tarnished paint and parts, creating an old-school look.
The fingerboard is made of rare Jacaranda with a rounded finish, a feature unique to this period.
The neck profile features a B-shaped vintage-style fretboard, which has been refretted and replaced with a new nut, resulting in exceptional playability.
The current string height is 2.0mm on the 6th string and 1.5mm on the 1st string, allowing for comfortable playability.
The guitar is equipped with two black bobbin single-coil pickups.
Jaguar's greatest feature is the pickup structure, which is surrounded by a metal yoke (a metal plate), which is said to increase magnetic density and boost gain.
Combined with the short scale length, the guitar produces a distinctive punchy, brilliant sound with a strong midrange presence.
The neck position produces a lustrous, fat sound, while the bridge position produces an edgy, yet exquisite sound that isn't too harsh on the ears.
This guitar is sure to be a hit for both lead playing and chord strumming.
The guitar also features a preset switch and a low-cut switch, allowing for a wide variety of sound creations at your fingertips.
The bridge is equipped with a floating tremolo unit.
This allows for a delicate and extremely smooth vibrato.
This is an original Fender top-of-the-line model equipped with many unique specifications.
It is a highly valuable model worthy of ownership not only as a collector but also as a player.
Please consider this guitar.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod and neck are in good condition.
The body and paint show signs of use, with dullness and scratches on the metal parts. There are paint chips near the preset control, tremolo unit, controls, endpin, and elbow contour, and several polka-dot scratches can be seen on the elbow contour. There are two large dents near the endpin, and touch-up marks can be seen on the cutaway on the 6th string side. There is also weather checking and numerous other small dents and scratches.
The sides of the body also have paint chips on both cutaways, elbows, near the endpin, and near the controls, and weather checking and small scratches are visible throughout. The back of the body has paint peeling on the back contour, center, and behind the controls, as well as scattered linear scratches, weather checking, and small dents.
The back of the neck has lost some of its gloss around the 1st and 12th frets, and there are paint chips on the headstock and small scratches on the sides of the headstock. There is a large dent on the back of the headstock, and a linear scratch can also be seen near the 2nd-string tuning machine.
It is unclear whether this is due to aging, but the bridge anchor and pickguard do not fit properly and are floating.
As a result, the cavity is slightly visible through the gaps between the pickguard, controls, and preset controls.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The guitar has been refinished, refretted with vintage-style frets, and the nut replaced.
The current strings are Elixir OPTIWEB Light.
