Knaggs Guitars is a high-end American guitar brand founded in 2009 by Joe Knaggs and Peter Wolf.

It is known for being used by many guitarists, including Steve Stevens, Larry Mitchell, Billy Morrison, Tsuyoshi Ima, and Akira (UVERworld).

Based on years of accumulated woodworking skills and guitar design know-how, Knaggs employs unique body shapes, hardware, and set-neck constructions. While respecting traditional guitar styles, it fuses modern playability with Knaggs' distinctive design philosophy.

For this project, TONIQ directly ordered from Knaggs Guitars and selected several models.

This particular guitar is based on the "Kenai," a flagship model from the Influence Series.

The Kenai is a model featuring a traditional single-cut archtop design with two humbuckers.

For this order, we used Tier 1 Maple, the highest grade of wood, for the top, and combined it with a Lemon Burst color, Aged Nitro Finish, and cream-colored binding to create a look reminiscent of legendary vintage guitars, expressed in Knaggs Guitars' unique style.

The body back is made of Mahogany, and the top is made of T1 Maple.

Knaggs uses a tier system to express the grade of wood, and the T1 used in this instrument is the highest grade. Its beautiful, fine grain is particularly appealing.

The maple is finished with a Lemon Burst lacquer, and further treated with Medium Relic, creating the look of a well-played vintage guitar, even though it's brand new.

The combination with the Aged Nickel hardware results in a highly refined, vintage-like appearance.

The neck is made of Mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of East Indian Rosewood.

It basically employs traditional specifications, such as a '59 neck shape, 24.75-inch scale, and 12-inch fingerboard radius.

On the other hand, the neck grip has a satin finish, and the heel is further smoothed.

The finish around the neck is superb, and the feeling of it fitting perfectly the moment you place your hand on it is appealing.

Furthermore, the smooth feel unique to the satin finish and the careful workmanship of the heel give it a modern playability despite being a classic single-cutaway style.

And one of the major characteristics of Knaggs is the set-neck joint.

By carefully joining the body and neck, string vibrations are efficiently transmitted to the body, producing rich harmonics and long sustain.

When you actually hold it, you will feel that Knaggs is not just a brand that uses expensive wood, but a brand that is made with high-quality materials, due to the precision of the neck workmanship and the meticulous finish.

The pickups are custom-voiced Lollar Imperial K pickups, specially voiced for Knaggs Guitars guitars.

Inheriting the rich harmonics, clear highs, and tight lows of the highly acclaimed Lollar Imperial, this guitar's sound is tailored to the tonewoods and resonance of Knaggs guitars.

It boasts a classic humbucker-like fullness while maintaining a clear, distinct tone for each note.

The bridge features Knaggs' proprietary "Influence Bridge."

This integrated brass bridge and tailpiece design ensures a wide contact surface with the body, directly transmitting string vibrations.

Despite its simple structure, it also supports octave adjustment, demonstrating Knaggs' original hardware design that effectively captures string vibrations while prioritizing practicality.

The combination of this Knaggs-specific design with a classic single-cutaway guitar look is another major appeal of this instrument.

This guitar embodies Knaggs Guitars' long-cultivated expertise in wood selection, woodworking techniques, hardware design, and Joe Knaggs' design philosophy.

This is a special Kenai guitar, only available through TONIQ's custom order service, allowing you to fully appreciate its charm.
