It features an extra-long 705mm scale, intentionally extended two frets lower in the bass range from the Les Paul's 628mm scale.
Consequently, the default tuning is one semitone down on open strings, with the standard tuning set at the 2nd fret with a capo.
This practical specification allows smooth transitions to half-step down or one-step down tuning by adjusting the capo position.
