| Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura. Many famous musicians, including Allen Hinds, Toshi Yanagi, Oz Noy, and Yuya Komoguchi, use Xotic guitars. This model was exhibited at Sound Messe in Osaka - OSAKA GUITAR SHOW, held in the spring of 2026. The XTC series is an ambitious work that incorporates modern elements while using the traditional single-cutaway guitar style as its motif. It is handcrafted in California, USA, by artisans using high-grade wood. The body is made of alder. It has an extremely thin black finish using nitrocellulose lacquer. The black finish is complemented by a large tortoiseshell pickguard, resulting in a very cool look. The body has a bold and realistic aged finish, giving it an old-school look. From the moment you pick it up, you feel an overwhelming presence and atmosphere. Featuring a semi-hollow construction, this guitar boasts a lightweight design and a distinctive sound that strikes a balance between solid-body and acoustic, offering a pleasing combination of airiness and tightness. The neck is crafted from top-grade Roasted Maple. Roasted Maple is a wood that achieves high stability through high-temperature treatment, which evaporates moisture and oils from within the wood. Originally used as a building material for Finnish saunas, it is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity. While Xotic's 4A grade Roasted Maple often produces beautiful pieces, this particular instrument stands out with its stunning grain. The fingerboard is made of Indian Rosewood. The dark, rich rosewood used is clearly a carefully selected material. The pickups are hand-wound Raw Vintage RV-TE pickups. This guitar boasts a sharp, sparkling tone with excellent attack. When the neck pickup is selected, it delivers a thick, mellow tone, while the bridge pickup produces a crisp, powerful sound. It's faithful to picking nuances, and its simple TL-type design allows for a wide range of tonal expressions depending on the player, showcasing the depth of this model. Furthermore, it possesses the richness characteristic of a semi-hollow body construction, resulting in a very well-balanced sound. The bridge is an Xotic XTC original bridge, faithfully reproducing a 1950s vintage bridge. Other hardware features include GOTOH locking tuners, Raw Vintage saddles, and JESCAR frets, demonstrating a commitment to quality.
