| Gibson is a king of guitars, having produced countless legendary instruments. It's loved by countless top artists, including Angus Young, Tony Iommi, and Shinji Wajima. The SG, introduced in 1961, quickly captivated many guitarists and continues to support the rock scene today. While Gibson has the iconic Les Paul model, the SG has established itself as a model with a more aggressive and sharp sound and outstanding playability. The SG features a lightweight and easy-to-handle body shape, with a mahogany body and neck. The 24.75-inch medium scale and Slim Taper neck provide smooth fingering and high playability. It's equipped with 61R/61T humbucker pickups. You can enjoy the powerful and crisp sound characteristic of the SG, making it a versatile model suitable for a wide range of genres, including rock and blues. This guitar features a rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 frets. It also boasts modern features unique to the 2018 model, such as locking tuners and a Tektoid nut. Furthermore, this particular instrument has been retrofitted with a Bigsby B5, Vibramate, and spoiler. The bridge has also been replaced from the original aluminum Tune-O-Matic to a Long Beach Music Tune-O-Matic, creating a tremolo unit setup in combination with the Bigsby B5. Enjoy the smooth pitch changes provided by the Bigsby's whammy bar, resulting in a unique instrument with a look and playability distinct from a standard SG. Highly recommended for those seeking a practical SG. Fret life is approximately 90%. The truss rod is loose, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed. The neck is in good condition. The body and paintwork have overall minor scratches, dents, scratches near the knobs, and a dent on the top of the headstock. The electronics are in good condition. A Bigsby B5, spoiler, and roller saddle bridge have been added. The truss rod cover and strap pins have been replaced.
