Greco is one of Japan's pioneering guitar brands, with a history that dates back to the early days of Japanese guitar manufacturing.

The brand continues to produce instruments today and has earned an excellent reputation for its consistently high quality.

This instrument is the BG-1400, a limited-edition model built in 2013 that faithfully revives Greco's original BG model, first introduced in 1979, using modern manufacturing techniques.

While retaining the original's distinctive body shape and reverse headstock, the BG-1400 features numerous refinements that enhance both playability and practicality for today's players.

Manufactured in Japan, only 112 units were produced in 2013, making this an exceptionally rare model.

The guitar features a mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.

Its set-neck construction, 24.75-inch scale length, and 22-fret configuration provide a familiar Gibson-style playing experience.

The most distinctive feature is its trio of original Blade Gang pickups.

These unique single-coil pickups utilize bar-style pole pieces and deliver a surprisingly powerful output, producing a bold and highly distinctive tonal character.

In addition, the Coil-Tap Balancer control allows the center pickup to be smoothly blended into the bridge pickup, offering an impressive range of tones—from the articulate clarity of a traditional single coil to a thick, humbucker-like sound with reduced noise.

The reverse headstock features a 14-degree headstock angle, optimizing string tension across all six strings for improved playing feel and response.

Maintenance is also enhanced by a truss rod adjustment system accessible from the body end of the neck, which improves serviceability while maintaining headstock strength.

With its one-of-a-kind design and outstanding craftsmanship, the BG-1400 is an essential model in the history of Greco's original designs.

Condition

• Approximately 90% of the frets remain.

• The neck is in excellent condition, and the truss rod functions properly.

• The body shows general surface scratches, while the metal hardware exhibits some tarnishing.

• There are numerous linear scratches on the back of the body.

• There is a paint chip at the neck joint on the bass-string (6th-string) side.

• The electronics are in excellent working condition.

• No obvious modifications were found.

Any instrument purchased from our store is eligible for free lifetime setup adjustments related to string vibration and playability (normally ¥4,400 per service). Appointment required.

• Please present your warranty certificate with your name filled in.

• This service is available only to the original purchaser who bought the instrument through GIB or TONIQ (either in-store or online).

• Customers are responsible for shipping and any related expenses.

Trade-In Value Guarantee

If you decide to sell your instrument within six months of purchase, we guarantee the following trade-in values:

• New instruments: 50% of the purchase price

• Used instruments: 70% of the purchase price

Defect Warranty

Products sold by Bassick Co., Ltd. are covered against manufacturing defects.

Except for consignment items and certain excluded products, any failure that occurs under normal use during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge. If repair is not possible, a refund will be provided.

Warranty period:

• Used instruments: 3 months

• New instruments: 1 year

The following cases are not covered under the free warranty, even during the warranty period:

• Damage or malfunction caused by shipping, transportation, relocation, or accidental drops.

• Replacement of consumable parts.

• Damage caused by fire, earthquakes, salt damage, gas exposure, or abnormal voltage.

• Damage resulting from misuse or handling contrary to the instruction manual.

• Damage or malfunction resulting from repairs or modifications performed by parties other than our company.

• Warranty certificates that are incomplete, altered, or missing the purchaser's name, model name, or serial number.

• Failure to present the warranty certificate or loss of the certificate.

Warranty coverage applies only to purchases made within Japan.
