| Infinite is a private brand of High-End Music, a repair workshop in Osaka. The guitars and basses they manufacture, leveraging the extensive knowledge and refined skills gained through repair work, are highly regarded for their superior quality. This model is fundamentally based on the traditional Stratocaster. However, it incorporates modern features in various aspects, such as the standard-equipped BFTS (Buzz Feiten Tuning System). The body is made of one-piece Swamp Ash. The body is finished in Gun Metallic and features aged finishes in various places, giving it an old-school feel. The neck is made of Maple, and the fingerboard is Rosewood, a traditional combination. The neck is joined deep into the body. This significantly reduces the possibility of center misalignment. Of course, the larger joint area and the increased proportion of Maple in the neck also have acoustic effects. The neck joint and the bond between the fretboard and neck utilize a groove-based interlocking mechanism. This is another mechanism designed to prevent deviations from the original design. The fretboard has a conical shape, where the radius flattens from the lower frets to the higher frets. This ensures that even with lower string action, there is no overall fret buzz, resulting in comfortable playability and excellent sound. The frets are made of JESCAR stainless steel. Compared to standard nickel frets, they are more wear-resistant and offer a smoother playing feel. The pickups are Infinite's original Vintage pickups. Furthermore, they feature a middle pickup blender function, providing a wide range of sound variations. They produce a range from edgy, sparkling sounds to fat, full-bodied tones. The bridge and tuning machines are GOTOH. The fact that the hardware is not subject to cost-cutting is another attractive feature. A well-made instrument with high-quality hardware precisely and tightly assembled. This is an exceptional instrument that skillfully blends traditional sound with modern style. Fret life is approximately 90%. The truss rod and neck are in good condition. The body and finish have been aged, making a precise assessment difficult. There are signs of use on the bridge. The electronics are in good condition. No obvious modifications were observed.
