James Tyler is an American brand founded by the late James Lee Tyler, dedicated to crafting guitars of the highest quality.
Hailed as the pinnacle of modern Stratocasters, it is renowned for being favored by artists worldwide, including Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Yuji Toriyama.
This model is the flagship Classic.
While adhering to the traditional Stratocaster style, it delivers the overwhelming playability and refined sound unique to James Tyler.
Furthermore, this instrument features a three-digit serial number, indicating it is an early production model.
This era is said to have featured a small, elite production team and a high proportion of handcrafted processes, giving it a distinct early-production character different from current models.
The body is Alder, the neck is Maple, and the fingerboard is Rosewood—a classic combination.
The body is finished in Surf Green, reminiscent of vintage Fender guitars. The color and hardware, combined with the effects of aging, give it an old-school look.
The neck profile is exceptionally slim, with meticulously finished fret edges.
It delivers the signature smooth playability of James Tyler, ensuring stress-free playing even during extended sessions.
The Neck and Middle positions feature Seymour Duncan STK-S1n pickups.
They deliver a clear, sparkling tone with notably low noise.
The Bridge position features a Voodoo HB60s.
It delivers a powerful sound with a wide range and well-defined contour.
Hardware is flawless, featuring CROCODILE locking tuners and a Wilkinson VS-100 bridge.
This is an exceptionally appealing instrument, masterfully balancing the character of a vintage guitar with the refinement of a modern one.
