This Studio model features PRS’s traditional body design, a 22-fret neck, an SSH pickup configuration, and a tremolo system.

Previously produced exclusively in the Core series, it is now finally available in the S2 and SE series as of 2025.

It boasts the gorgeous looks and high playability unique to PRS, along with the sounds of both single-coil and humbucker pickups.

It also boasts excellent playability and responsiveness reminiscent of a modern Stratocaster. True to its name, it offers high versatility suitable for a wide range of genres and performance settings, making it a versatile instrument that excels in everything from studio work to live performances.

The body back is made of mahogany, the top is maple, and it features a beautiful figured maple veneer.

The three-layer body construction keeps costs down while delivering the beautiful appearance of high-end PRS models and an authentic sound produced by the maple top and mahogany back.

The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

The pickups include a 58/15 LT S in the bridge position and PRS Narrowfield DD “S” pickups in the neck and middle positions.

The 58/15 LT S was designed to replicate the humbucker sound of the late 1950s and is characterized by a clear, warm tone.

The Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” uses tall bobbins to increase the number of coil windings, boosting output while maintaining hum-canceling performance thanks to its dual-coil design.

As a result, it offers the sparkling clarity of a single-coil pickup combined with the low noise of a humbucker.

This combination allows for low-noise output of both a fat humbucker sound and an edgy single-coil sound.

The control layout consists of one volume, one tone, and a 5-way blade switch.

It features an SSH layout—a rarity for PRS—that allows for the Middle pickup to be used solo, as well as half-tone configurations such as Neck+Middle and Middle+Bridge.

The humbucker in the bridge position can be coil-tapped by pulling the tone knob.

You can enjoy a rich humbucker sound, a bright single-coil sound, and a blend of the two with simple controls.

The bridge features a PRS-designed synchronized tremolo bridge.

This patented PRS bridge is characterized by smooth whammy bar action and high tuning stability.

Additionally, this guitar has been upgraded with SE Locking Tuners.

This brings its specifications closer to those of US models.
